2023
2023 is the 10-year anniversary of the original run & release of the movie project: Doin’ Hard Work is the first-ever, behind-the-scenes look at player’s on-and off-the-court lives from the Wheelin’ Lakers, written & produced by #RandallTheProducer for the Just Don’t Quit Foundation (JDQF), an IRS approved 501c3.
Randall met the Wheelin’ Lakers in 2009 at the Turkey Shootout, a tournament put on by the Wheelin’ Jazz.
In 2010, Randall attended his first Wheelin’ Classic All Star game in Dallas TX and other exciting Wheelin’ Classic events over the following years.
JDQ Sports & Entertainment (JDQ_SE) is putting on a Pickleball Tournament & Party as a marketing vehicle for the 10-year anniversary of the film project throughout the 2023 year.
We want to provide you with a sponsorship opportunity to create a Curated Event in Your City during Your Special Event in the form of a separate, stand-alone, one-off Pickleball tournament; which will extend the reach of our partners. (We have no affiliation with the NBA).
Randall came across wheelchair basketball in 2004 where he met a player that was going to Greece for the Paralympics in the sport of wheelchair basketball. That led him create JDQ Productions to tell the players untold stories and eventually it culminated in the production of a film titled: Doin’ Hard Work.
Former Utah Jazz coach and 1984 NBA Coach of the year, Frank Layden narrated that script.
We’re making the Frank Layden audio available as a special fundraising download to worldwide fans of basketball and at some point, to the general public.

Special Guest and Wheelchair Exhibition
Randall looks to recreate some of that excitement of the Wheelin’ NBA throughout 2023 with, at minimum, a basketball shooting exhibition and 3-on-3 tournament with the Wheelin’ players versus some well known basketball players a showpiece for the public. This has the potential to be Live Streamed and possibly more.
The timing of these events will be April & August 2023; venue and other details to be determined.
We also have a verbal commitments from notable retired NBA players and former collegiate players who will come out and participate in the wheelchair basketball exhibition.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
